SeeYou
Android sports social app built with Jetpack Compose.
The problem
Amateur and grassroots sports generate plenty of action but very little visibility. Matches between local teams and clubs are rarely filmed or broadcast, scores are tracked on paper or in group chats, and the best moments are gone once the game ends. Players, referees and fans have no single place to organize events, follow games live, or relive and share highlights afterward. SeeYou needed a native Android app that could bring all of this together in a smooth, social experience, with a reliable account system behind it.
The solution
I developed SeeYou’s Android app in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, Hilt for dependency injection and Coil for image loading, following a smart/stateless composable architecture with StateFlow-driven ViewModels. I built the live streaming and replay player screens, a referee scoreboard for tracking scores in real time, and a highlights system for extracting and sharing key moments. Users can create events through step-by-step wizards with validation and saved progress, pick sports and participants, and invite guest players who don’t have an account yet. I also built the profile pages with role badges, the app shell with tab navigation and a persistent blurred background, and the settings screen. I then rebuilt authentication from the ground up with OTP-based registration and a forgot-password flow. Along the way I standardized UI patterns across the codebase, including an edge-to-edge safeDrawingPadding() migration across 23 files and reusable popup and QR-code sheet components.
The result
SeeYou gives local sports a home on mobile: players and organizers can create events, stream matches live, keep score in real time and share the highlights afterward, all in one app. The rebuilt OTP authentication makes sign-up and account recovery simpler and more secure. The consistent architecture and shared UI patterns keep the codebase clean, with a polished, edge-to-edge interface that is easier to extend as new features ship.
